To and fro is a tidal clock that helps connect humans with natural rhythms. Rather than check the time, which is a rigid and man-made construct, artist Kate Andersen explores an alternative: centering the rhythm of the coast.
Kate Andersen (@kate.ander) is an interdisciplinary artist and designer who creates tools to influence inner being: biodegradable memorial vessels, gameplay that trains the mind to spot generative images, design tools that question the systems we inherit. She is the director of ORI Earth, a design studio exploring regenerative and biomimetic design in pursuit of a more-balanced relationships between man and Earth.
